1970年代より仕事柄スポーツ写真（アイスホッケー、ウインドサーフィン、スノーボードなど）紀行写真など経験、2004年3月八代市の写真集を発表。
2006年から野鳥撮影開始。鳥類図鑑のような画像ではなく、野鳥の飛翔の美しさ、背景の生活環境を一緒に撮影する事を心がけている。シャッターチャンス重視の為手持ち撮影を常とし三脚は使わない。

I began photographing of the wild birds in 2006 at Edzuko of Kumamoto city. From that moment I took over 100,000 photographs of wild birds. I went at many places of Japan to take the photograph of the wild bird. The places are Sapporo, Kiritappu wet-land, Chitose river area in Hokkaido, The Senjogahara of Nikko National Park, Yatsugatake
, Tateshina, Kirigamine, Osaka Expo-park, Mt.Adachi of Kitakyushu, Edzuko of Kumamoto-city, The Peninsula of Nagasaki, Kumagawa and Kawabegawa river area of Hitoyosi, etc. Main Place is Kumamoto Pref. City of Hitoyosi area and The Edzuko in The City of Kumamoto.
野鳥の写真撮影を始めたのは２００６年熊本市の江津湖だった。その時からすでに10万カット以上の野鳥の画像を撮った事に成ろうか。国内では北海道、霧多布湿原、札幌円山原始林、野幌森林公園、千歳川流域 支笏湖、奥日光戦場ヶ原、日光東大植物園、渡良瀬遊水地、武蔵野野川流域、八ヶ岳野辺山高原、蓼科高原、霧ケ峰八島湿原、大阪万博公園、北九州小倉区の足立山山麓、長崎半島、熊本市の江津湖、人吉市界隈、球磨川、川辺川流域、市房ダム付近。
海外ではロンドン、王立植物園キューガーデン、パリ郊外、南仏アヌシー、ハワイ、西オーストラリア・マーガレットリバーなど

Wild life of Crested Kingfisher in Kawabegawa & Kumagawa river area
足かけ4年、人吉に通う事100日ほどで出遭い難い野鳥の典型と言われるヤマセミ約3万6千カット以上の画像を収録する事が出来た。それを通じて見えてきたのはただ一つ、「ヤマセミにとっての命は、綺麗で豊富な水量の川辺川・球磨川水系の流れに尽きる。 」これだけ多くのヤマセミ家族が人吉市界隈で繁殖を広げられているのも、ひとえに6年連続で水質日本一の川辺川がいつまでも豊富な水量である事、綺麗な球磨川の水量も常に豊富である事、並びにそれを守り続ける熊本県・人吉球磨エリアの人々の努力があってこそ。川辺川・球磨川流域の自然環境が良いからこそ、餌になる魚が豊富に育ち、ヤマセミ達ものびのびと子育てを行え、安定繁殖ができるのだろう。 逆に言えばヤマセミの安定した繁殖は球磨川・川辺川水系の環境保全に関するバロメーターなのだろうと確信する。

Yamasemi means one of Japanese wild bird Crested Kingfisher. Color is black & white. Size likes same as dove with a big crest. They live deep of the mountains area all over this country, so difficult to find out and photo-shooting.
Yamasemi’s food is river-fish. They take it by diving catch from trees or diving catch with hovering. Their life-style is very interesting and attractive. You will enjoy this site with their funny actions and gestures.
I took over 40000 photos of crested kingfisher since April 2010 at city of Hitoyosi, located south of Kyushu, Kumamoto prefecture, Japan.
I will put these photos open to the public after selecting, on this YAMASEMI WEB.
So many crested kingfishers live in Kawabegawa river and Kumagawa river area, because of good natural environment.
