「今朝は０５：３０人吉市内集合で鹿児島県との県境の山奥へ出発。ものの３０分で目的地エリアに到着。途中の道は梅雨明け前の大雨で水が流れた後もあちこちにあり、梅雨明けと共にブルドーザーが入って大きな石を除去した事が判るほどの悪路だった。４輪駆動でないととても行けそうもない状態だったが何とか走破。

　あちこちからオオルリの囀る声が聴こえども姿見えず、であったが植林された針葉樹林の大きな杉の下枝を飛び歩くオオルリを発見！
　春先に日光東大植物園で撮影して以来の本当の山奥での撮影に感激！」

Today I get up eary in the morning at 5. The sun is not coming up yet. My friend Mr. Kawasaki invite me to the Ruby kingfisher' area in a deep mountain. After 30 minutes drive, we arrive at the place. We wait about 1 hour but Ruby Kingfisher is not coming to our site. But we can see Blue-&-white Flycatcer again. I met them at The University of Tokyo "Nikko Botanical Garden" in May.
